The Creative Psychotherapist Podcast

FEATURED GUEST:
Jennifer Marchand is a Certified Canadian Counsellor, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Registered Canadian Art Therapy, and a Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator based in Germany. Over the past ten years, she has worked in a diverse range of settings and cultural contexts as a clinician, consultant and trainer.

In addition to her clinical work, she has worked as a trauma trainer in conflict affected countries - such as Iraq and Afghanistan - on the implementation of trauma sensitive health care for survivors of gender-based violence. She also established a practice in Hanoi, Vietnam working with a diverse client base, including expatriates and Vietnamese clients, and was the clinical supervisor for a Vietnamese organization working with survivors of human trafficking.

She began her career in northern Canada working with Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals, families and communities affected by complex and intergenerational trauma. She received close mentorship and training on Indigenous psychotherapy and traditional healing practices. These teachings continue to shape her approach to trauma recovery and cross-cultural practices, especially when working in non-Western and Indigenous contexts.

Jennifer also has an Etsy store where she sells helpful and beautiful trauma informed resources. She is offering listeners a discount of 50% off when they purchase using the following
